The Annual General Knowledge Day, "Q&A 23 - The Mind Extravaganza" took place successfully on the 29th of August for the 26th time with the participation of 30 schools. The primary attraction of the event was the interschool quiz competition. In addition, there was an intraschool quiz competition held within the school, with the participation of more than 60 quizzers. The winners of the intraschool competition received their certificates during the event.
The event had the honor of hosting Dr. Anuradhini Kasturiratne, a renowned past student of Visakha Vidyalaya and a Professor of Public Health at the University of Kelaniya, as the chief guest. The quiz competition comprised of 5 rounds, covering a range of topics, including Current Affairs, History and Geography, Arts and Culture, Science and Technology, and Sports.
The prestigious BT Banning Shield was awarded to the winning school, Richmond College Galle, while Ananda College Colombo earned the 1st runner-up position. The General Knowledge Club of Visakha Vidyalaya continues to uphold its legacy as a hub of knowledge, contributing to the school's prestige and glory.
