The English Literary Association of Visakha Vidyalaya proudly presented Earendel’23, the Annual English Day, 2023, on the 14th of August from 2.00pm onwards at the Jeremias Dias hall. The celebration served as a platform to acknowledge numerous achievements of young Visakhians as well as showcase their linguistic creativity and talents.
Earendel’23 was graced by Prof. Chitra Jayathilake, Department of English and Linguistics, University of Sri Jayawardenapura as the Chief Guest, alongside Mr. Orlando Edwards, the Country Director, British Council, Sri Lanka as the Guest of Honour.
The pillars behind the astounding success of the event were none other than the Madam Principal, Mrs. Manomi Senevirathne, Deputy Principals, Assistant Principals, Sectional Heads, Teachers-in-charge of the English Literary Association, English teachers, parents and the young Visakhians.
