Vagangana 2022 was organized by the Sinhala Oratory & Debating Society of Visakha Vidyalaya for the 11th consecutive time, with the participation of 39 schools island wide. The initial rounds of the competition were held virtually. Out of the many teams competed at the initial rounds, Sumangala Vidyalaya Pandura and Thurstan College Colombo were able to emerge as finalists. The Grand Finale was held at the Main Hall of Visakha Vidyalaya on 28th October 2022 with the presence of the Principal, Mrs. Manomi Seneviratne and an elite panel of judges. In the finals, Thurstan College Colombo won the Championship of the Vagangana 2022 tournament. Also, the inter-house oratory and debating tournament was held with the aim of improving the communication skills of the students of Visakha Vidyalaya. Motwani house won the championship of the inter-house debating tournament.
