The Annual General Meeting and the 90th anniversary celebrations of the Visakha Vidyalaya Old Girls' Association (VVOGA) were held on the 13th of July 2024 at the Jeremias Dias Hall of Visakha Vidyalaya. A new executive committee for the year 2024/2025 was duly elected and the Jt. Secretaries’ and Treasurer’s reports for 2023/2024 were also presented to its members. Recognizing Ganga Senevirathne, our very own past Visakhian who was qualified to represent Sri Lanka at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris was a highlight of the event. She was offered the membership of the VVOGA and she is currently the youngest member in the association. Celebrations of the 90th anniversary of VVOGA started with cutting the anniversary cake followed by a delightful sing-along session. It was an evening to remember.
