Visakha Vidyalaya won the Silver Award in 1AB school category at the National Green Awards 2013/2014 which was conducted by the Central Environmental Authority being the only school in Colombo to secure such an achievement.
The National Green Awards held at BMICH on 12th of May 2014 for the third consecutive year. The Chief Guest was His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa, the President of Sri Lanka.
