Mrs. Janaki Fernando nee Jayawickrama, a past Visakhian, won the following awards at the Masters Athletics Open Championship 2015 organized by the Udupi Masters Athletic Association held at Mangala Stadium, Karnataka state – India.
This was held on 3rd and 4th of October 2015.
- Gold – Javelin Threw
- Silver – Putt Shot
- Bronze – Discs Throw
She was chosen to represent Sri Lanka on her performance at the Sri Lanka Masters Athletics Championship 2015 held in May 2015.
