Mrs. Eileen Siriwardena who was a past principal of Visakha, popular author and educationist, passed away at her residence.
Mrs. Eileen Siriwardena, who began her professional career as a teacher, served as the principal of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo from year 1983 -1987. She rendered a great service in the field of education.
She was an individual equipped with the knowledge of both Sinhalese and English Languages and made her contributions with the pen through the works of Ahasin Polowata, Weralin Sayurata, Katharin Etharata, Kshema Bhumiya, Balan Harima Kadathurwa, and many other books.
Mrs. Siriwardena's funeral will be on Sunday the 24th January at 11.00 am at the General Cemetery - Kanatte. Remains will be lying at her residence No.57, Railway Avenue, Nugegoda from Friday the 22nd January 2016.
