A free medical camp organized by the Past Visakhian Doctors' Association (PVDA) of the Visakha Vidyalaya Old Girls' Association was held on 5th May 2013 at the school premises.
Over a hundred teachers, past and present as well as members of the non-academic staff made use of the medical facilities offered by the camp.
Most of the doctors who provided free medical services were past Visakhians while renowned consultant physicians in the country also provided voluntary service. There were histopathology, orthopedic, psychiatric, dermatology, neurology and rheumatology services as well as physiotherapy, ENT, hearing screening, speech therapy, cardiology, US scan, ECG, dental, eye, cancer and family planning units.
Services of a chest physician, endocrinologist, VOG, cardio thoracic surgeon, VP and dietitian were also available. The medical camp has been organized annually by the PVDA for over 15 years.
