The annual medical camp organized by the medical subcommittee of Visakha Vidyalaya Old Girls’ Association was held on Sunday 8th May 2016 at 9.00 am onwards at Visakha Vidayala. The event was a great success. The past teachers, present teachers and their families were benefited immensely as they were able to undergo most of the medical tests and also was able to consult the medical specialists on a variety of areas.
Over two hundred teachers, past and present as well as members of the non-academic staff made use of the medical facilities offered by the camp.
Most of the doctors who provided free medical services were past Visakhians while renowned consultant physicians in the country also provided voluntary service. There were Surgeons, Physicians, Pediatricians, cardiologists attending and 2D Echocardiogram and blood tests (lipid profile, fasting blood sugar, urine tests ++) done free of charge.
The medical camp has been organized annually for over 18 years.
