D. S. P. Amashi Niwarthana, a Visakhian who studies in Grade 13, has been able to win a Gold medal at the 10th International Earth Science Olympiad 2016.
The Earth Science Olympiad was held from 20th to 27th August in Mei, Japan. Amashi won a Gold medal for the Earth Science Project under Group O, making Sri Lanka flag fly high in Japan.
Amashi made mother Visakha proud with this great achievement and we wish her all the very best for her future endeavors!
